Mother Elephant Saves Baby Elephant in the Lake
The sun was shining brightly over the savannah when a playful baby elephant wandered too close to the edge of a deep lake. Curious and eager to splash, the little one stepped forward and suddenly slipped into the water. At first, the baby tried to paddle, but the water was too deep, and panic quickly set in as it trumpeted loudly for help.
The mother elephant, grazing nearby, heard the desperate cries and rushed to the scene. Her heart pounded as she saw her baby struggling, its small trunk barely reaching above the surface. Without hesitation, she charged into the lake, creating waves with her massive body. Using her trunk, she gently lifted the baby’s head to keep it from sinking.
But the slippery mud made it hard for the calf to climb out. The mother carefully positioned herself beside the calf, guiding it toward the shallower edge. With a mighty push and a tug of her strong trunk, she pulled her baby safely onto dry land.
The calf stumbled, wet and shivering, but quickly ran under its mother for comfort. The mother wrapped her trunk around the little one, reassuring it with gentle touches. Together, they walked away, stronger and closer than ever.
